this is not a belated april's fool joke, not a early halloween costume, he is not an extra in a horror film. this is ripp's thumb.
the nail went directly through the distal phalanx (narrowly missing the joint) and stayed put. one hour, one tetnus shot, one x-ray, one pair of pliers, one irrigation, and one splint later we went home.
it was so weird. like it wasn't real...but it actually was.

I dropped a router on my knuckle a couple of months ago - Ripp boys and tools...
At least he looks comfortable lying there with his legs crossed.
oh goodness. My hands went numb for 5 minutes after seeing that (weird thing that happens to me after gross stuff i guess?). You forgot to tell us exactly HOW he managed to get a nail all the way through his thumb?? Seriously.. Jake and my Dad.. just crazy with their tools!
