my babies daddy

baby daddy day was complete with homemade gifts, breakfast, kite flying, golf and couch lounging. rain threatened to add even more to our already above average month, but held off. i can't imagine life with out the little girl, the #1 fan and their daddy. the triple combination is a winning one and makes the babies mommy very happy.
more to come about baby daddy day and why ripp earned himself a new nickname. meet ted.

dance '09

Another year of dance (with my favorite ballerina) is in the books and I am exhausted. With almost 15 hours of dance last week, between class, rehearsals and performances, it has taken some time for all of us to recover. Here is a smattering of pictures.

I could go on and on and on about her jazz square shimmy, hip action, giant shuffle ball change and older-girl-headband-envy...but we would be here for days. Instead, she is a prize and joy to watch on stage. I am so proud of her and the work she put into her dance this year.

Our other favorite dancers. Her cousin and our two favorite babysitters/role models/friends/wannabe daughters of mine.

forever young

When The Pill woke up yesterday morning, he informed Ripp and I that he was going to stop eating because he doesn't want to get any bigger. We too would love it if he could stay this 'small' and cuddly forever. However, he was the first to pipe up for french toast and then scarfed down a second helping. Last night, I don't know how many Olive Garden breadsticks he put down. The boy can eat.

By The Way

As I was rushing The Pill into and out of the shower the other evening, he interuppted my cleaning frenzy (how do they get so much dirt under their toenails) with, "BTW, I really have to go the the bathroom!" Since when did 4 year-olds start communicating with their mother's using acronyms? I guess he was in as much of a hurry as I was. That, or he was watched too much Hannah Montana with his sister.
