E took all of our pictures to her class to talk about rock art and its two different forms. Pictographs-which are pictures or symbols that are drawn or painted on.

Petroglyphs-pictures that are carved into the surface. Which are what we found when we visited the Anasazi Ridge petroglyn site outside of Santa Clara.

Neither should be confused with heiroglyphics. Which is an egyptian style of writing.
