Over the last few years, I have fallen in love with a couple of the 'smaller' holidays, namely Halloween and Easter. Kids have definitely added to the lure, but I have figured out what it is that has me soooo smitten.
The colors.
Maybe it is because I don't normally decorate in these shades, and certainly not in these combinations. Orange and black everyday? Ew! Maybe it is because the clutter is not around for too long, just long enough to get you excited, but not to the point of feeling suffocated. Anyone thinking of the Christmas cramp? Whatever the reason, I am totally enamored with pastels, petite witches, rustic bunnies, creepy spiders and beaded eggs.
