...those freckles. the ones that fade slightly during our cold winter months, but quickly pop back up with just a few sunny spring days. freckles that are a vivid reminder of the father she belongs to. freckles that mark the petite face of an extremely social, brave and kind girl. all traits that will make this big change in her life easier for her, but the same traits that sometimes lead her mother to think she needs less than she really does.
i have to watch this one closely and handle her carefully.
