(i have always had a strict no santa hat policy, but this year i caved in the morning of christmas eve. they really are silly, hope they didn't find their way into the christmas boxes)
it came all the same. a few days into the new year and the last few remnants of christmas past are all put away for next year. i don't know what it was about this year, but the energy and unbridled excitement coming from my still-believers was, at times, almost more than i could take. however, i only had to take a few minutes to remember the feelings i had around christmas when i was a child...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
it was another year of old and new traditions that i just love. baking, a live nativity, christmas cards, lights, nutcrackers, eli the elf, santa visit, reindeer feeding, jammies, brunch with family in the morning, turkey dinner with friends at night, skiing, gnomes, snowglobes, christmas eve scavenger hunt, bells, books, tears and long nights sleeping.

You take such glorious pictures. I loved seeing your Christmas. But my favorite has to be the one of those cute girls at the end.
