skunk relocation program update

this will be quick, i am completely skunked out...a lot has happened around here in a week. chloey, our aged and creaky yellow lab has managed to get sprayed three times this week. every time she sneezes, it smells like a fresh spray. but thanks to her curiosity, we found another skunk den off the side of the hill. four small skunks were flushed out and taken care of. at our front porch, with the help of an exterminators extra traps, we have trapped and released two adults (we assume mothers) and six (!!) teeny, tiny babies. they were all relocated within a day and a half of each other at the exact same spot, and the tenderest spot of my heart is hoping they manage to find each other. when the sadness of a baby separated from mother pulls against my desire to have them far away from my house, i finally fall apart. so if you're keeping track, that makes twelve.
