11 things

today is my firstborn, and favorite daughter's birthday.  she loves when i say that.  i love everything about her...well almost.  she is in 5th grade and experiencing hormonal changes.  need i say more?

i love taking the time to write a few things about what i love about my children.  

when it comes to E, i love:

1.  her freckles and baby blues.  little pieces of her parents that came together so nicely

2.  they way she sings while getting ready for bed.  if i sneak up, i love watching her watch herself even more.

3.  how she wants the perfect kiss at night.  the right sound, the right touch, in the right spot.

4.  that she is obsessed with cupcake wars and has learned to love baking.  even made her own cupcakes to take to school.

5.  she is extremely creative and crafty.  currently way into designing and sketching clothing.

6.  that she talks openly with us about everything, and tries hard to understand when she doesn't like something she hears.

7.  the way she rocks braces and glasses...no hiding here.

8.  her complete adoration for her dad.  i understand.

9.  how she will tell me she is "not crying!" while wiping away tears.  uh...okay.

10.  the bond she has with her brother, even when he makes it clear that he is trying to bug her.  she is patient and caring when he needs it.

11.  that she is everybody's friend.  especially to the ones that need it the most.  

happy birthday!  the thing i love the most is that you are mine.
